Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using Scream Screens, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the app.

Scream Screens is designed to operate primarily on your device. Unlike many apps, it does not require you to create an account to use its core features.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in limited ways depending on how you use the app.

2.1 Information stored locally on your device

Based on the current app implementation, Scream Screens stores the following information locally on your device:

Onboarding and setup preferences
Selected reaction mode and shake duration
Selected scream choice
Selected monitored apps
Custom scream recordings you choose to create
Premium status used to unlock premium features on your device

2.2 Permissions and device access

Scream Screens may request access to certain device features or system permissions so the app can function as intended.

App monitoring, usage access, Screen Time, Family Controls, or similar permissions may be requested so you can choose apps to monitor and enable Scream Screens reactions for those apps.
Microphone access may be requested if you choose to record a custom scream. If granted, the recording is used to create and store your custom scream locally on your device.

2.3 In-app purchase information

If you purchase or restore premium features through a supported app store platform, those transactions are processed by the applicable platform. Premium purchases on iPhone are processed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. We do not collect or store your full payment card information. The app may receive limited product, entitlement, and transaction status information needed to unlock or restore premium access on your device.

2.4 Support communications

If you contact us for support, we may receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, device details, screenshots, and a description of the issue you are experiencing.

2.5 Information we do not currently collect for core app use

Scream Screens does not require account creation and does not collect profile information, social content, precise location data, or advertising identifiers for core app use.

3. How We Use Information

We use information described in this Privacy Policy to:

Provide and operate the app's features
Save your preferences and custom scream content locally
Support app monitoring and reaction behavior for selected apps
Enable custom scream recording when you choose to use it
Process, restore, or verify premium access through Apple systems
Respond to support requests and troubleshoot issues
Comply with applicable law and protect rights, safety, and the app

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not use third-party advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs to track you across apps or websites.

We may share information only in limited circumstances, including:

With Apple to the extent necessary to process in-app purchases
With service providers that help us support the app, if any
When required by law or valid legal process
To protect rights, property, safety, or investigate misuse
As part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets

5. Data Retention

Because most app data is stored locally on your device, that data generally remains there until you delete it, remove the app, or clear the relevant local app data, subject to your device and backup behavior.

If you contact us for support, we may retain those communications for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, keep records, comply with legal obligations, and protect the app and our users.

Scream Screens is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under applicable California privacy laws, including rights to know, delete, correct, and request information about certain data practices, subject to applicable exceptions.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
